Alfajores...mmmm
faith and stopped into the Aroma coffee shop on Houston, just east of the Angelika. I tried a sandwich cookie from South America, crispy butter ends with a dulce duleche filling. I never imagined they existed, but the cookie, as served there, is outstanding. I've looked at several recipes, but haven't yet made the attempt. Must soon. Too good to miss out on.
